DAY 1

Date : April 14, 2020

Arrival in Accra

Arrival and pick-up from the airport to the hotel. Hotel check-in. Depending on the time of arrival, we may take you on a ride of Accra (Ghana’s capital) to visit some iconic attractions, including Black Star Square and Kwame Nkrumah Memorial Park. Overnight is at Fiesta Royale Hotel or similar.

DAY 2

Safari at Shai Hills

We drive after early breakfast to Shai Hills park for hiking in the national park. From here, we continue with the driving to Senchi for some water safari on the Volta River. Overnight is at the waterfront Afrikiko Hotel or Royal Senchi Resort.

DAY 3

Date : April 16, 2020

Exploration of Ashanti kIngdom

We continue with our tour to Kumasi to explore Ashanti culture and history. We will visit Manhyia Palace Museum to learn all about Ashanti kingdom. Overnight at Golden Tulip Hotel or Four Villages Hotel

Date : April 17, 2020

A visit to Adanwomase kente weaving community

This morning, we discover more of Asante artistic and cultural treasures as we visit Adanwomase kente weaving community. We continue with the safari ride to Buabeng-Fiema monkey village. This village is home to friendly mona monkeys as well as the beautifully shy and endangered Black-and-white Colobus monkeys. Overnight is at Mole Motel or Zaina Lodge inside Ghana’s number one national park boasting over ninety mammal species in addition to hundreds of bird species and several reptiles.

DAY 5

Date : April 18, 2020

Safari at Mole National Park

Accompanied by a wildlife guide, take a morning walking or driving safari in the park as you try to count the elephants you come across. Antelopes, baboons, warthogs and several bird species are among the numerous other wildlife species you’ll come across. There is also afternoon safari if one still needs more after the morning experience. Overnight is at Mole Motel or Zaina Lodge.

DAY 6

Date : April 19, 2020

Kintapo Waterfalls

Say bye-bye to Mole as we regain the south stopping first at Kintampo waterfalls. Enjoy the canopy walkway suspended right above the falls. Round it up with a dip in this fresh spring water before we say bye-bye. Our next stop is Tanoboase’s sacred grove. This is a landmass of clustered striking rock formations nestled within a semi-deciduous forest with its array of plant, tree, bird and butterfly species. After your fill, we drive to Kumasi for overnight at the Golden Tulip Hotel or Four Villages Hotel.

DAY 7

Date : April 20, 2020

Elmina Castle /Slave Dungeons

Drive further south to visit either Cape Coast Castle or Elmina Castle. These are European-built fortresses with dungeons that played a serious role in the infamous transatlantic slave trade between the 16th and 19th centuries. The site Guide will give a guided tour. Thereafter, you check in at Golden Hill Parker hotel for overnight.

DAY 8

Date : April 21, 2020

Kakum National Park

After morning photo opportunity at the spectacular Elmina fishing harbor and market, we proceed to Kakum National Park. Get ready to walk across the canopy walkway suspended on tree-tops as you learn all about this “natural supermarket”. Spend the rest of the day at Brenu beach. Overnight is at Golden Hill Parker Hotel.

DAY 9

Date : April 22, 2020

Relaxation at Beach

Free morning; you may spend it at the beach or do it your own way. Later in the afternoon, we regain Accra for overnight at Fiesta Royale Hotel or similar.

DAY 10

Date : April 23, 2020

Departure

Your final day in Ghana, visit Makola, the number one Open-air market in Accra, the Arts and Craft Center and Artistes Alliance gallery for shopping. Crown your visit with a farewell dinner before we drive you to the airport for check-in formalities. Tour ends.
